A crucial away victory for Apollon Limassol over AEK Larnaca, Omonia’s continued steady course at the top of the standings, and the new negative result for APOEL were the main characteristics of Matchday 22 in the Cyprus League By Stoiximan.

Omonia extended its gap from the second place, reaching 54 points, eight points from the second-placed AEK. Apollon’s 1-0 win away to AEK reduced the gap to just one point behind the Larnaca side, tightening the race for the top positions.

In fourth place on 43 points, Paphos FC returned to winning results with a 1-0 victory over AEL Limassol in Alphamega Stadium. Aris Limassol and APOEL complete the top six, though both sides have raised concerns with inconsistent performances in recent weeks.

At the bottom end of the table, a tight relegation battle is emerging. Apart from bottom-placed Paralimni on one point, just four points separate eighth-placed Omonia Aradippou (25 points) from 13th-placed Krasava Ypsonas.
