The Leukaemia Cancer Society held its first ever Fashion Show as part of its awareness Campaign which was a tremendous success.
Over 100 people attended the show, at the Penridge Suite, which included a catwalk runway show as well as fashion stalls selling items. There was also a charity raffle and over £2,000 was raised.
Celebrity cook and TV presenter Tonia Buxton along with professional singer Nathalie Cookson led the models onto the catwalk. Joining Tonia and Nathalie on the catwalk were two beautiful ladies, Sue Christodoulou and Pat Charalambous that have fought and won their own battle.
Maria Nicolaou, Chair of the Leukaemia Cancer Society said, “The Fashion Show was a celebration of those fighting and those having survived Cancer. It was also the highlight of activity to raise funds for the charity and promote the Charity’s Butterfly Campaign. The aim of this campaign is to highlight the need to increase the number and diversity of the British Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Registries. On behalf of the charity I would like to thank everyone that helped make this event a great success.”
