A man has died following a house fire on Ripplevale Road, Islington in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters brought the man out of the first floor of the property. Sadly he was pronounced dead at the scene. Part of the first floor was damaged by fire.
Fire crews from Euston, Holloway, Islington and Shoreditch fire stations attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 0006 and the fire was under control by 0150.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
