† DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT – FUNERAL
Mellia Erotokritou

We are sad to announce that our beloved Mellia Erotokritou, passed away on the 23rd September 2025, following a long battle with cancer. She leaves behind
2 children 3 grandchildren, 2 sisters and 2 brothers and many relatives and friends.
The funeral will take place at All Saints Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Camden Town, Camden Steet, London NW1 0JA, at 10am, on Wednesday 8th October 2025, followed by the burial at New Southgate Cemetery, at 12pm. The wake will be held at St Demetrios church hall, at 2pm. Flowers to be sent to Leverton & Sons, 212 Eversholt Street London NW1 1BD by 4.30pm Tuesday 7th October 2025.

Mellia, the second of Louis and Kyriakou Papaloizou’s 5 children, was born in the family home on the 16th October 1956. After leaving school Mellia worked for many years with her parents in their dress factory Papaloizou Gowns Ltd.
Mellia married in 1980 and had two daughters Maria and Kiki.
A devoted mother and in later life grandmother in 2018 Mellia was diagnosed with terminal cancer, the seriousness of which she kept from her family for many years. Mellia fought this terrible disease bravely always staying strong and positive right to the end. We lost, just 17-months after losing our beloved mother, a loving and kind daughter, sister, spouse, mother, grandmother and friend too soon.

Με λύπη ανακοινώνουμε ότι η αγαπημένη μας Μηλίτσα Ερωτοκρίτου απεβίωσε στις
23 Σεπτεμβρίου 2025, μετά από μακρά μάχη με τον καρκίνο. Καταλείπει 2 παιδιά, 3 εγγόνια, 2 αδελφές και 2 αδελφούς, καθώς και πολλούς συγγενείς και φίλους.
Η κηδεία θα γίνει από τον Καθεδρικό Ναό των Αγίων Πάντων, Camden Town, Camden Street, NW1 0JA, στις 10πμ, την Τετάρτη 8 Οκτωβρίου 2025 και η ταφή θα γίνει στο
Κοιμητήριο New Southgate στις 12μμ. Η παρηγοριά θα δοθεί στην αίθουσα της εκκλησίας του Αγίου Δημητρίου στις 2μμ. Τα λουλούδια πρέπει να αποσταλούν στο Leverton & Sons, 212 Eversholt Street, NW1 1BD, έως τις 4.30μμ την Τρίτη 7 Οκτωβρίου.

Η Μηλίτσα, το δεύτερο από τα 5 παιδιά του Λούη και της Κυριακούς Παπαλοίζου, εργάστηκε για πολλά χρόνια με τους γονείς της στο εργοστάσιο ενδυμάτων Papaloizou Gowns Ltd. Η Μηλίτσα παντρεύτηκε το 1980 και απέκτησαν δύο κόρες, τη Μαρία και την Κική. Αφοσιωμένη μητέρα και αργότερα γιαγιά, το 2018, η Μηλίτσα διαγνώστηκε
με καρκίνο σε τελικό στάδιο, τη σοβαρότητα του οποίου έκρυβε από την οικογένειά της για πολλά χρόνια. Η Μηλίτσα πάλεψε με αυτή την τρομερή ασθένεια γενναία, παραμένοντας πάντα δυνατή και αισιόδοξη μέχρι το τέλος. Χάσαμε, μόλις 17 μήνες μετά την απώλεια της αγαπημένης μας μητέρας, μια στοργική και ευγενική κόρη, αδελφή, σύζυγο, μητέρα, γιαγιά και φίλη πολύ νωρίς.
