Former Australian Open finalist Marcos Baghdatis started his campaign at the Rogers Cup in Toronto, Canada against Argentine Carlos Berlocq in the opening round defeating him 6-4 6-3 he now plays Croatian Marin Cilic ranked 15 in the next round who got a bye in the first round
World No.45 Baghdatis has been struggling a bit in 2012 with a win-loss record of 24-17. He, as the record suggests, has failed to go deep into a tournament this year and would be aiming to accumulate some vital points before getting into the US Open. He is a really talented player and has the ability to stun players with some exceptional tennis. He has won 4 titles till now in his career and would be aiming for more.
