AEK Youth FC ⚽️Football Round up: Sun 27.1.19
AEK U10s v Go Stars.
On a cold and windy early morning in Mill Hill, the game was one of two halves with Go Stars dominating early on and taking an early lead. After the break, AEK got going and started playing their football. Go Stars pushed on to score their second goal and could have been more but for Theo making some good saves in goal and to Zak for some resolute defending. AEK didn’t give up and were rewarded through an equaliser from Lucca.⚽️ With renewed confidence, AEK continued to push forward, forcing their goalkeeper to make some fantastic saves but unfortunately was too little too late.
MOM Zak? strong in the tackle showing great pace and calmness on the ball.

This week was the intriduction of a different cup trophy involving divisional teams in group games. Following a short delay due to the referee being late for kick off, the usual slow start problem raised its ugly head and they conceded 2 early goals that could have easily be avoided. This seemed to then spur the team back into life and they managed to score three goals in quick succession before the opposition drew level again prior to half time. After a half time pep talk they started brightly and managed to score two further goals to give them a 5-3 lead. However, despite continuing to pressure the opposition goal they conceded two further goals to make the game even a few minutes from the end, with a little help from their lines person who introduced a continuous ‘hair trigger’ flag waving reaction everytime we advanced the ball into their half. The final minute was historic for the fact that we managed to score a 6th goal, only for our friend to flag offside against our player lying injured on the floor after a fair challenge but not in an active area of play. Goalscorers: ⚽️Alexander Barbe (2), Nicholas Tofallis, Jordan Conway and Tariq Joseph … MOM: ?Yianni Onissiphorou
