British Cypriot Michael Voudouri moved to Cyprus jail despite failing to pay £200k dirty cash bill

FRAUDSTER Michael Voudouri has been moved to a Cyprus jail despite failing to pay his £200,000 dirty cash bill.

The £11million VAT crook, 50, was allowed the switch from his Scots cell to be near family on his isle homeland.0

It’s feared he could bag a cushier sentence for the rest of his 11½ year stretch as law chiefs continue to chase him over the £207,339 proceeds of crime order from 2015.

A source said: “He had applied for repatriation to his home country.

“The sentences will be converted so he’ll serve what he would’ve served had he been convicted in that country.”

It’s thought Voudouri’s flit from Shotts jail, Lanarkshire, to Nicosia central prison was sealed after he ditched a fight to keep his £1.6million pad in Bridge of Allan, Stirlingshire

A British Government report called the island jail’s regime “relaxed”.

The Scottish Prison Service needed Cypriot authorities to accept the UK citizen before the case went to MSPs.

It’s understood Voudouri — caged in 2014 after 15 months on the run — was moved around a year ago.
