The team behind Cypriots Worldwide is preparing a new international edition of the landmark publication dedicated to celebrating Cypriots across the globe who have distinguished themselves through achievement, leadership, innovation, philanthropy, and service.
Created as a luxury commemorative volume and global diaspora platform, Cypriots Worldwide seeks to honour heritage, unite community, and inspire excellence by documenting the journeys, contributions, and success stories of Cypriots abroad.
This new publishing initiative revives the legacy of the acclaimed editions Greek Cypriots in the UK (2005) and Greek Cypriots Worldwide (2009), which captured the stories and experiences of Cypriots who excelled internationally, preserving an important part of the history and cultural identity of the Cypriot diaspora.
The forthcoming global edition will include Greek Cypriots, Turkish Cypriots, Maronites, Armenians, Latins, and individuals of mixed heritage, reflecting the diversity and international reach of the Cypriot world. It aims to represent a broad spectrum of fields including entrepreneurship, business, science, education, the arts, media, sports, philanthropy, public service, academia, and innovation.
With the final deadline of Tuesday 30 June 2026 approaching, entries are now in their final stages. Cypriots from all communities may either apply directly or be nominated by others for consideration in the forthcoming edition.
Over the years, Cypriots Worldwide presentations and events have been successfully hosted at distinguished venues including the Hellenic Centre and the Cypriot Community Centre in London. These occasions have been honoured by the presence of prominent Cypriots and distinguished guests including Nikos Christodoulides, former President Dimitris Christofias, Andrew Adonis, Peter Andre, Linda Papadopoulos, Peter Polycarpou, diplomats, and leading figures from the global Cypriot diaspora.
Previous editions and platforms have featured internationally recognised personalities such as Demis Hassabis, Tracey Emin, Tonia Buxton, Antigoni Buxton, Stelana Kleanthi, and Stelios Haji-Ioannou.
“Through carefully curated profiles in our books and on our platform, we seek to document personalities who inspire, elevate, and shape the global Cypriot community. Our publications have become a trusted source of information, a connecting bridge for Cypriots worldwide, and an important archive for future generations,” said Michael Yiakoumi from the Cypriots Worldwide team.
Alongside the printed publication, the digital platform Cypriots Worldwide continues to expand as a dynamic international hub featuring diaspora news, special reports, community initiatives, and nomination opportunities for outstanding members of the global Cypriot community.
