The UEFA playoff draws for the three European competitions, the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League, were held on Monday afternoon at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, with four Cypriot clubs involved. These are Pafos FC, AEK Larnaca, Omonia, and Aris.
Specifically, Pafos FC, if they overcome Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League third qualifying round, will face the winner of the tie between Lech Poznań (Poland) and Red Star Belgrade (Serbia) in the playoffs of the competition.
However, if Pafos are eliminated by Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League third qualifying round, they will move into the Europa League playoffs, where they will face the winner of the tie between Hibernians (Malta) and Maccabi Tel Aviv (Israel).
In the Europa League, AEK Larnaca, if they advance past Legia Warsaw, will meet the winner of the tie between Häcken (Sweden) and Brann (Norway) in the playoffs.
If AEK are eliminated by Legia in the Europa League, they will drop into the Conference League playoffs, where they will play against either Hibernian (Scotland) or Partizan Belgrade (Serbia).
Meanwhile, Omonia, if they advance past Araz in the Conference League third qualifying round, will face the loser of the tie between PAOK (Greece) and Wolfsberger (Austria), who are playing in the Europa League third qualifying round.
Also in the Conference League, Aris, if they manage to eliminate AEK Athens in the third qualifying round, will play against the winner of the tie between Anderlecht (Belgium) and Sheriff Tiraspol (Moldova) in the playoffs.
