Cypriot Government will stand by the elderly, says Labour Minister

Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance Minister Zeta Emilianidou has said that the government will stand by the elderly.

Speaking after a meeting with European Seniors` Union An Hermans, who is vising Cyprus, she said “We had a very good meeting, we discussed matters concerning the elderly and the problems they face.”

The government, Emilianidou said, will support and stand by the elderly. “We will do our utmost to provide care to our citizens, who are in need of support,” she added.

“It is a real pleasure for me to be in Cyprus and share with you and all the seniors of Cyprus the aspirations for the future”, Hermans said on her part.

Because, she added, “active aging and active citizenship, that means building the future and building the future together, in Cyprus and all over Europe.”
