A joint Greek and Cypriot police operation has led to the arrest of a Cypriot man suspected of involvement in smuggling more than two kilos of cocaine in packages of board games mailed from Athens to Larnaca.
Greek police said Wednesday that the crackdown followed the discovery at Athens airport on January 15 of the cocaine concealed inside two packages of board games that had been mailed to Cyprus. The packages were allowed to continue their journey to Cyprus, where police on Tuesday arrested a 28-year-old man who allegedly picked them up.
