There is an effort not to affect ongoing development-oriented projects in the 2014 state budget, Minister of Communications and Works Tasos Mitsopoulos said on Monday.
He added that his Ministry is still in the process of preparing the budget. Mitsopoulos was responding to a question concerning the budget to be allocated for development-oriented projects.
According to the Minister, the issue has not been finalized yet. The Ministry, he added, is in contact with the Finance Ministry in order to finalize the budget “through dialogue and a common approach”.
The Ministry of Finance has recently asked all Ministries to cut spending by 10% compared to last year.
