Prior to kickoff, the game was marred by scuffles in the APOEL terraces as police and stewards attempted to wrestle away the Greek and Serbian flag from fans. One APOEL fan was left with a bloodied face during the melee while images also showed APOEL president Prodromos Petrides arguing with stewards.The game ende in a draw with Apoel going through on away goals.
