Get fit and fundraise in Cheshunt

People can get fit while raising money for good causes in Cheshunt.
A charity fitness day will be held this Saturday, 28 April, at The Laura Trott Leisure Centre (LTLC). Four sessions will run between 2.30pm and 7pm with participants paying a £2 donation each time to take part.
All funds raised will be donated to the Mayor of Broxbourne Carol Crump’s chosen charities for her year in office. They are the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, the Alzheimer’s Society and a young local resident, Harry Herbert, who has been selected to represent Great Britain at the Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi in 2019 but needs to raise money to get there.
Anyone aged 16 or over, of any ability level, can register in advance to take part in the sessions, which are mainly cardio and bodyweight based.
The sessions will be Bodypump 105 from 2.30-3.30pm, BodyAttack from 4-5pm, Aerobatastic from 5.15-6pm, and stretch and core from 6.15-7pm.
On the day, there will also be a raffle with the chance of winning six months’ free gym membership – worth more than £250 – at the LTLC and The John Warner Sports Centre in Hoddesdon.
Participants should register in advance at the LTLC’s reception.
The event comes as part of Hertfordshire’s Year of Physical Activity, which has a focus getting residents moving, and is also part of Broxbourne’s special Year of Community, which celebrates the area by bringing people together.
