Overseas Cypriots from across the world are to gather at an invite only event at the Presidential Palace in the presence of President Nikos Christodoulides

Overseas Cypriots from across the world will be meeting in Cyprus next week for the World Conference of Cypriot Diaspora 2026 from the 28th to 31st of July. As part of an invite only reception to be hosted at the Presidential Palace, outstanding individuals will be awarded by President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides for their longstanding and dedicated service to the island and their own communities. President Christodoulides will also address diaspora Cypriots at the event during a speech opening the reception.
The World Conference of Overseas Cypriots is an annual gathering that brings together Cypriot diaspora organisations from across the globe to receive briefings on national issues, strengthen ties with Cyprus, honour distinguished diaspora members, and participate in cultural and commemorative events. This year’s conference will be led by NEPOMAK – the World Organisation for Young Overseas Cypriots – who run activities in over 40 cities globally, directly reaching 15,000 young Cypriots around the world. Representatives from the Central Council of POMAK will also meet as part of a wide-ranging programme of briefings and initiatives at the conference.
