Second Division
It’s a long time since we saw two new comers play each other in this case it was Akanthou versus Armenian Youth with both teams level on points coming from both teams winning last week. It did not take Armenian Youth to score and from then on it was an uphill struggle for Akanthou who had their chances but the Armenians were more clinical up front and exposed weaknesses in the Akanthou defence and were three nil up at half time and went onto win 6-0 three goals in each half. The Armenian scorers were Arek Djerrahian, Andy Michael, Adi Mafdel, Gio Pilides and Garo Heath 2.
What a great game it was and a turnaround for the books KLN versus Pantel. KLN were 5-1 up after 35 minutes and two goals before the break and one straight after spurred Pantel to win the game 6-5. Pantel’s goals came from Asley 2, Damien 3and Andre. KLN who must be kicking themselves their goals came from Chris Papacosta 2, Zack, Rio and Jessy.
Panathinakos still without a win could not hold back Brotherhood who have now gone three wins on the trot winning 5-0 their goals coming from Kaan yucel 2, Sean Kemal Kelly, Costakis, Chrisostomou and Ahmet Pilot.
First Division
Komi Kebir are stirring things up in the first division two wins out of three games They beat Olympia and now Asha 4-1.
They are a very young team well managed by Nick Hanna and they are fearless Komi Kebir’s goals came from George Demosthenous a hat trick and Anthony Georgiou.
Two of the favourites for the first division season Anorthosis and Apoel played it very close although Anorthosi s were more on top they could not capitalise on their chances with half time 0-0 and will be thankful to Danny Coolridge coming up with two goals and Alex Roussis reducing the score to 2-1 final score.
In the other First division game Olympia came up 4-0 winners against a Achna side playing their first match of the season and Achna have got a long way to go but the signs are good for a massive improvement. Olympia’s goals came from Alfie, Elia 2 and Gritil.
