Omonia 1 New Salamis 4
Geared up to be the match of the day and hundreds of fans were there to see the game at Broomfield Park between the league leaders New Salamis and second in the table Omonia.

Defender Dimi Ponnou took the goalkeepers shirt and Omonia’s heads never dropped and kept battling but New Salamis were able to increase their lead to two nil early in the second half when from the edge of the box Deniz Mehmet pounded the ball into the back of the net.
This seem to lift Omonia and they created chances and were rewarded when their midfielder Rakim was able to reduce the scoreline to 2-1 when within a scramble he found the net.
A late finish ended the game 4-1 in New Salamis favour with their goals coming from 17 year old debutant Harisson Georgiou and another from Deniz Memet.

A match fought with alot of intensity with Cinar having a lot of possession in the first 20 minutes even though they went one down after 4 minutes, a terrible mistake by Cinar keeper Remzi as he kicked the ball onto the running KLN striker Luke Papacosta for the ball to end up in the goal for 0-1.
