Samples for tests among employees working in the public and private sector began in eight drive through locations in Limassol.
At the same time, a total of 120 samples were taken from health professionals.
The whole process is being held by the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics. People come forward after appointment. They remain in their vehicles while the test is performed.
The testing of the health professionals is being carried out at the Limassol General hospital parking area.
Twenty-one persons are being treated at the hospital’s fifth floor while two are on a ventilator in the ICU and four others are being treated for coronavirus symptoms.
According to Cyprus State Health Services Organisation reports, from 7pm last night until 7am, four persons arrived at the hospital with suspicious symptoms. Four were admitted. Two more were admitted with suspicious coronavirus symptoms
