The Finsbury Gate entrance/exit in Finsbury Park is set to close for six weeks from Monday (21 September 2026) onwards.

This temporary closure it to allow Transport for London (TfL) to make road safety improvements on Seven Sisters Road and Wilberforce Road, as well as at the Finsbury Gate entrance to the park.

The proposed works outside of the Finsbury Gate entrance/exit include:

▪️ Installation of new cycle-friendly traffic signals infrastructure
▪️ Relocation of cyclist crossing point, with new ramps, road markings and signage
▪️ Renewal of existing paving slabs and tactile paving
▪️ Replacement of existing cycle stands
▪️ Resurfacing and line marking on Seven Sisters Road

Local residents and visitors to the borough are encouraged to gain access to and leave Finsbury Park via its other entry/exit points, particularly at the Stroud Green Road gate.
