Travelmania’s Anna Papaphotis supporting cousin’s cancer fundraiser
Anna Papaphotis, Sales & Marketing Director at Travelmania Ltd, has since 3rd May 2021, supported a fundraising campaign to help her cousin, Zena Papaphoti, get potentially life-saving therapy.
The Gerson Therapy, which promises much better odds of survival for cancer patients with a similar medical profile as Zena’s, is unfortunately not available on the NHS.
To date, over £30,000 has been raised, including a personal donation of £5000 from John Christodoulou, founder of the Yianis Christodoulou Foundation, and £5000 from the Christos Lazari Foundation who have also generously offered to MATCH POUND FOR POUND, any funds donated, until the target is reached.
“We are truly touched and overwhelmed by these generous donations and kind gesture,” Anna told Parikiaki, adding, “Every penny counts and we are extremely grateful to everyone who has donated towards this campaign.”
In 2017, Zena Papaphoti’s life changed in a moment when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Over the course of a year, she underwent chemotherapy, radiotherapy and an extensive mastectomy on the NHS. Unfortunately, in 2018, a bone metastasis was discovered and classified as Stage 4. The prognosis she was given at the time was 5 to 10 years at best.
Not giving up hope, Zena got to work and through extensive research, identified the Gerson Therapy, a potentially life-saving treatment not available on the NHS. The treatment is costly as it requires huge quantities of organic produce and daily intake of a set of powerful supplements.
Through a GoFundMe fundraiser, Zena hopes to raise enough funds to access this therapy and get her life back. With your support, she hopes to reach the target of £50,400.
