Two brothers, aged 68 and 78, were attacked by two hooded men at the home of one of the two in Ayios Athanasios, Limassol early on Monday. Police said the hooded men first attacked the 78 year old when he left his brother’s home to go to his house in Polemidhia.
On hearing his cries, the other brother went to help and was also assaulted. The 78 year old was taken to Limassol Hospital with bruises to his face while the 68 year old told police the attackers were two young, heavily built men. Police do not exclude the possibility the perpetrators had wanted to rob the 68 year old but were taken by surprise because his brother was also there.
