Panayiota Hadjimichael of Tricomo passed away on friday 27.06.2014 at the age of 103. Panayiota came to England in 1937 as a young single woman. She lived in England and worked as a seamstress most of her life.
In 1942 she married Andreas and although she only had one daughter, she was a mother figure to family members and friends who came to live in the UK, and was in fact referred to by all as Mum. She was a person who believed in kindness and this was extended to all who came in contact with her.
She leaves behind her daughter Ivy, 2 grandsons, Andrew and dominic, great grandaughter Isabella and son in law Nicos Argyrides.
The funeral took place on Monday 14th July 2014 at St Sophia’s Cathedral in Bayswater and the burial at Hendon Cemetery.
