We sadly announce the passing away of George Christou, Born 28th April 1936 – Died 30th March 2020. Age 83. Born in Nicosia and raised in Limassol, Cyprus.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife Christalla, his son Andrew, daughter Tina and her husband Chris, and his four grandchildren George, Nicholas, Michael and Chrissie, and many family and friends.
He was a very caring and thoughtful man, always thinking of his family. He was hard working, providing for his family and did everything you would expect of a husband, father, and grandfather. After a long illness he passed away peacefully at home. May he now rest in peace. We love you, and you will always be in our hearts.
The funeral will take place on Wednesday 29th April 2020 at 1.30 pm, at St Barnabas Church, Wood Green, with only immediate family attending. He will then be laid to rest at New Southgate Cemetery. For anyone wishing to pay a small respect prior to the funeral (whilst remaining with their car due to the current situation), the hearse will arrive at his home at 1 pm.
There will be a memorial service held once this pandemic is over.

Με μεγάλη θλίψη αναγγέλλουμε το θάνατο του συζύγου, πατέρα και παππού μας, Γιώργου Χρίστου, σε ηλικία 83 ετών. Aφήνει πίσω την σύζυγό του Χρυστάλλα, υιό: Aντρέα, θυγατέρα Ντίνα κι το σύζυγό της Κρίς, 4 εγγόνια: Γιώργο, Νικόλα, Μιχάλη, Χρύση και πολλούς συγγενείς και φίλους. Ο εκλιπών ήταν ένας στοχαστικός άνθρωπος, ο οποίος φρόντιζε και σκεφτόταν την οικογένεια του. Εργαζόταν πάντοτε σκληρά για να προσφέρει στην οικογένειά του ό,τι καλύτερο. Μετά από μακρά ασθένεια, απεβίωσε στο σπίτι του στις 30/03/2020. Σε αγαπάμε και θα είσαι πάντοτε στις καρδιές μας. Καλή ανάπαυση. Η κηδεία θα γίνει την Τετάρτη 29/04/2020, η ώρα 1:30μμ στην εκκλησία του Απόστολου Βαρνάβα στο Wood Green και η ταφή στο κοιμητήριο του Southgate. Λόγω της τρέχουσας κατάστασης, μόνο οι στενοί συγγενείς του εκλιπών θα μπορέσουν να παρευρεθούν στη νεκρώσιμη ακολουθία στην εκκλησία και στο κοιμητήριο. Όταν ξεπεραστεί η πανδημία, θα οργανώσουμε μνημόσυνο όπου θα τιμήσουμε όλοι μαζί την μνήμη του.
