UK Cypriot owned Clissold Arms in Fortis Green Road, Finchley/Muswell Hill borders were nominated and awarded the best regional pub (London & SE) in September by the Morning Advertiser.
George Karageorgis the owner whose father is from Lefkoniko , recently attended the prestigious awards ceremony at The Hilton Hotel, Park Lane.
The regional winners were selected from hundreds of entries following visits to short listed pubs by a panel of judges.
The Clissold Arms is a laid-back, family-orientated pub situated between Muswell Hill and East Finchley in North London. Their menus reflect the relaxed character of the pub, but we don’t compromise on quality or service. We pride ourselves on producing great home-made, locally-sourced and traditional British dishes with European influences.
The ambience of the Clissold Arms is what makes this pub a truly unique experience with five distinct areas – main Restaurant, Kinks Room, covered Terrace, the Shed and our Garden, all of which you can enjoy for dinner or drinks. Our different rooms can also be hired out for any special occasion.
The Clissold Arms is the home of The Kinks, having had the honour of hosting their first gig in December 1960, and their last gig, in June 1996. In their honour, our Kinks Room is adorned with Kinks memorabilia and is the pride of Kinks fans from all over the world.
The Clissold Arms has continually sought to build strong and meaningful relationships with customers and groups from the local community, we host a number of community groups and hold regular events .
