† DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT – FUNERAL
Avra Joannou

It is with great sadness we announce the death of our beloved mother,grandmother, sister, aunt, Avra Joannou,on Friday 27 March 2026, at the age of 90.
She is survived by her 4 children, Helen, George, Maria & Joanna,
5 grandchildren, Melanie, Helena, Stephanie, Owain & Matthew.
“Her kind, gentle, fun & generous nature will be greatly missed by all who knew her.”
Funeral service will be held οn Tuesday 14th April, at the Cathedral of the Formation of the Mother of God (St Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church),
22 Trinity Rd, London N22 8LB, at 12pm. The burial will take place at
New Southgate Cemetery, Brunswick Park Rd, London N11 1JJ.
After the cemetery, you are invited to join us at the St Barnabas Church hall, Finsbury Rd N22. Donations if desired, can be made to The British Heart Foundation in memory of Avra Joannou.

Με μεγάλη μας θλίψη ανακοινώνουμε τον θάνατο της αγαπημένης μας μητέρας, γιαγιάς, αδελφής και θείας, Άβρας Ιωάννου, που απεβίωσε την Παρασκευή 27 Μαρτίου 2026, σε ηλικία 90 ετών.
Kαταλείπει τα 4 παιδιά της, Ελένη, Γιώργο, Μαρία και Ιωάννα,5 εγγόνια, Μέλανη, Έλενα, Στέφανη, Όουεϊν και Μάθιου.
«Η ευγενική, χαρούμενη και γενναιόδωρη φύση της θα λείψει πολύ σε όλους όσους τη γνώριζαν».
Η κηδεία θα τελεστεί την Τρίτη 14 Απριλίου, από τον Καθεδρικό Ναό της Κοιμήσεως της Θεοτόκου (Παναγία), 22 Trinity Rd, London N22 8LB,
στις 12μμ. Η ταφή θα γίνει στο Κοιμητήριο New Southgate, Brunswick Park Rd, London N11 1JJ.
Μετά το κοιμητήριο, σας προσκαλούμε για την παρηγοριά στην αίθουσα της εκκλησίας του Αποστόλου Βαρνάβα, Finsbury Rd N22. Για όσους επιθυμούν μπορούν να γίνουν εισφορές για το The British Heart Foundation στη μνήμη της Αύρας Ιωάννου.
