A 23-year-old man from Enfield has been arrested in connection with a burglary that occurred in Hammond Close, Cheshunt on Thursday May 15.
The man has now been released on bail to return to Hoddesdon Police Station on June 27.
Detective Inspector for Broxbourne Jon Dick said: “There has been a small increase in burglaries in the Broxbourne area recently, but we are working hard to make life difficult for burglars and continue to make arrests and deter opportunistic criminals.
“The best way to prevent burglary is for residents take all possible precautions to protect their homes. Making sure doors and windows are locked and PVCU doors are locked by lifting the handle and turning the key would prevent a lot of the burglaries we are seeing at the moment.”
