An explosive device went off in Limassol’s Ayios Athanasios destroying a car just hours after two football teams, AEZ and Karmiotissa, reached a draw.
The vehicle belonged to the wife of AEZ assistant coach Alexis Garpozis and it was parked outside their residence in the Ayios Athanasios area. No injuries were reported following the explosion on Saturday early morning.
AEZ had reached a 3-3 draw with Karmiotissa on Friday, while the match was taken off the betting charts and some saying the outcome was affected by serious referee mistakes.
