All good with President’s health, might return home Monday

President Nicos Anastasiades` health is going very well and has shown impressive progress, his doctor Savvas Kadis told the press Sunday.
Cyprus President was admitted to Aretaieio Private Hospital Saturday, with symptoms of gastroenteritis.

Kadis told the reporters that if all goes well, the President might be able to return home on Monday afternoon, however he will need to rest for two-three days and follow a specific diet.

Replying to a question, he said that his health will be evaluated again tomorrow and maybe, with some changes in his program, President Anastasiades will be able to attend the European Council which begins Thursday in Brussels.

“President`s health is progressing without problems, he is today in a much better condition than yesterday, he is in good spirits and the first thing he told me this morning is that `I have returned to the markets“`, Kadis said.

He explained that of course the President feels a bit weak but the tests they run today have shown a clear progress. Kadis also said that they were not able to identify which bacteria caused the problem, but what is most important right now is that the President is responding to the medication.
