For the first time in 16 years, dynamic duo Helena Paparizou and Nikos Panagiotides performed together on stage in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The performance, which took place on Saturday 13th July, celebrated the 20th anniversary of Antique.
The duo formed in 1999 and enjoyed European success, representing Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest with Die For You and releasing numerous hits including Opa Opa, Dinata Dinata, Se Thelo, and many more.
Following their split in 2003, Helena pursued a solo music career. She returned to the Eurovision stage in 2005 with the song My Number One and made history for Greece by winning the contest.
Despite Helena’s and Nikos’ busy schedules, the two still remain good friends and decided to mark the special occasion by coming together for a one off unique concert, performing at the
Swedish music festival Vi som älskar 90 talet (Who loves the 90s).
Helena said the performance was an opportunity she couldn’t refuse: “It felt so right for us to take part. We broke through in the late 90’s with Antique and I really love the 90’s. It was also a great opportunity to meet up with old friends in the industry.”
