Appeal after four men injured following fight at festival

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a fight at a music event in Hainault Forest Country Park that left four males with injuries.

Officers were called to the venue where the Garage Nation festival was taking place at 19:35hrs on Saturday, 30 June following the fight.

London Ambulance Service also attended.

Three men, aged 22 [Victim 1]; aged 26 [Victim 2] and an adult male – no further details – [Victim 3] were taken to an east London hospital for treatment to stab and slash injuries.

None of their injuries are life-threatening.

Victim 3 has since left hospital.

A fourth male [Victim 4] was treated at the scene by medics and left prior to police arrival.

Following the incident, a group of male suspects were seen to run out of the VIP area, which is where the fight is believed to have taken place, towards the main entrance.

Detective Constable Samantha Handley of the East Area Command Unit CID said: “We are working with the festival organisers to identify those involved in this incident.

“I would urge anyone who was at the event, specifically in and around the VIP area at 7:30pm, and who saw this incident or the events either side of this incident to contact police.

“I would also appeal directly to the fourth person who was treated by medics but left prior to police arrival to contact officers – he may have information that could prove vital to progressing this investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the East Area Command Unit CID via 101 quoting reference CAD 6922/30June or tweet @MetCC.
