Thieves spray their victim with gas before making off with thousands of euros
A businessman in Aradippou was ambushed outside his home by two hooded and armed men at five thirty this morning.
Threatened with a firearm, the man handed them a briefcase containing, according to early reports, many thousands of euros. The thieves sprayed their victim with gas before fleeing. On regaining consciousness, he filed a complaint at the police station.
Τhe robbers seemed to be locals, as they spoke with a Cypriot dialect. They are described as one metre eighty, and wore dark coloured shirts, short jeans and sports shoes.
