POLICE suspect arson as the cause of a fire that broke out at the DIKO offices on Ayios Andreas avenue in Palouriotissa during the early hours of yesterday, according to spokesman Andreas Angelides.
The blaze completely destroyed the inside of the premises.
Angelides said initial investigations revealed that the arsonists had broken in through the back door. They also found traces of a flammable substance.
DIKO leader Marios Garoyian called the arson ‘unacceptable, reprehensible and appalling’ adding that investigations so far do not confirm or prove that there were political motives behind the arson
