A British woman that went missing from Omodos village on Wednesday has been found alive and well, according to police.
Pauline Ann Pidcock, 64, was reported missing by her husband on Wednesday after disappearing during an excursion to Omodos village in Limassol. A search party which included members of the Fire Services, Game Services and Civil Defence had been looking for the British tourist ever since before she was finally spotted on Saturday.
According to state television, Pidcock had been staying at a Paphos hotel and on Wednesday morning took the bus to the Limassol district village of Omodos with her husband. She chose not to join the rest of the group on an excursion in the area and instead remained near the tour bus.
When her husband and the rest of the group returned, they could not find Pidcock and immediately informed the police.
According to police, the Briton was found on a cliff between Potamiou and Omodos. Rescuers said the woman was ‘alive and conscious’ adding that she was taken to Limassol General Hospital as a precautionary measure.
It is reportedly not the first time that the 64-year-old woman, who suffers from epilepsy and needs daily medication, has disappeared.
Police have released a video of the moment the woman was found and rescued
