A 30-year-old British man, whose body was discovered on a Paphos beach on Sunday, died of multiple injuries sustained in a fall, according to the autopsy report prepared by forensic pathologist Eleni Antoniou.
The man, identified as Briton James Oliver Norman, had been holidaying in Paphos for the past few days with his Bulgarian girlfriend and their two-year-old child.
Paphos police had been alerted to Norman’s disappearance when his companion had contacted them to say he had left their hotel on Saturday night, saying he was going on a walk, and had not returned.
A police search followed and, upon receiving further information that a man had been found unconscious, floating in a rocky part of Kato Paphos’ popular SODAP area, officers thereafter located Norman’s body.
Preliminary reports had suggested there had been no foul play, but were contingent on Antoniou’s then-pending autopsy.
