Cypriot track and field athlete, Elena Kulichenko, placed 9th in the high jump final at the Tokyo World Championships on Sunday, with a jump of 1.97 m.
Initially, the Cypriot champion cleared 1.88 m and then 1.93 m after two attempts.
This was the second time, the 23 year-old athlete made the final of a World Championship, having achieved 13th place in Budapest, in 2023 with a 1.90 m. jump.
