Cypriot Enfield Police officer has been dismissed following a special case hearing.

On Friday, 1 December, PC Georgios Agathangelou, attached to Enfield Borough, answered an allegation that his conduct amounted to a breach of the Met’s standards of professional behaviour in respect of ‘discreditable conduct’.

It was alleged that on 6 December 2016, the urine sample PC Agathangelou provided for a with-cause drug test was found to contain metabolites for anabolic-androgenic steroids, indicating that he had been consuming and misusing steroids, contrary to the Met’s substance misuse policy.

The chair found the allegation proven and that the only possible outcome was dismissal without notice.
