A Cypriot father has allegedly kidnapped his estranged partner and his two-year-old son at gun-point on Monday morning.
Threatening violence he forced his young son and estranged wife to go with him. It’s thought he wants his family to live as a unit and has resorted to “extreme measures”.
According to police the abductor has contacted the authorities and informed them of what he did and that his victims are ‘safe with him.’
The alleged abductor who lives in Nicosia is believed to have travelled to Larnaca with accomplices and forced his way into the woman’s home.
Police have set up a manhunt and are frantically looking for the man’s vehicle in order to locate the Cypriot mother and child.
The man is now wanted on charges of trafficking and kidnapping.
