The emerging restaurant scene in Cyprus and its growing culinary excellence were celebrated at the “Athinorama Golden Chef Hat Cyprus 2024” awards, organised by Athinorama and Phileleftheros.
The glamorous awards ceremony, honouring Cyprus’s finest restaurants, took place on Wednesday, November 27, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol. The event drew attendees from politics, arts and letters, business, media, and the award recipients.
The evening’s highlight was a haute cuisine dinner prepared by Alexandros Tsiotinis, a multi-awarded chef with Golden Chef Hat distinctions and a Michelin star, who is regarded as one of the leading chefs of his generation.
This year’s awards ceremony saw 35 accolades, compared to from 31 in 2023. Notably, six restaurants received the Golden Chef Hat – the highest distinction – marking an increase from last year’s five winners and 2022’s four recipients.
These prestigious awards represent the culmination of work carried out by the renowned Golden Chef Hats tasting committee.
