The Cypriot Golf Society held the CGS Open on the 12th July at Moor Park Golf Club.
It was another glorious sunny day with perfect conditions for a round of golf. The fun began at 12pm with a two tee start. The course was in great condition and was enjoyed by all.
The overall winner, winning his first major was the society’s secretary Louis Leonida who came in with a great score of 41 points. Runner up was Kyriacos Tsirpis on 40 points who beat Lambros Kleanthous on countback. Other winners were Andrew Adams with the best gross score of 77, best group was Andrew Adams, Michael Tsangarides Andy Soteriou and Dino Costa with 144 points.
Longest Drive went to Nicos Kyriacou beating Vange Evangelou by inches!! Nearest the pin went to George Vavs Georgiou. A mention has to be said for the famous booby prize which was proudly accepted by Chris Michanicou who’s golf might have been off for the day but his fruit that he and his brother Andy bring to the members at every event is always spot on!!
