APOEL of Nicosia achieved a great victory over AEL and reached Apollon of Limassol in the first place of the standings. The team from Limassol was beaten on Saturday by AEK in Larnaca.
AEK surprised Apollon with a 3-0 win their goals coming from Acoran and Trickovski who scored in the 29th and 39th minutes respectively and Yiannou in the 84th minute.
It was left till the last ten minutes for all four goals to be scored at Apoel v AEL match so fans that left the game early missed all the excitement. DeCamargo scored two in the 81st and 86th minute for Apoel. Junior pulled one back for AEL in the first minute of added time and Morais scored the final goal for Apoel with a penalty in the last minute of added time.
Anorthosis move into third place with two goals from Duris in the 12th and 62nd minute winner Matt Derbyshire equalised for Omonia in the 20th minute
New Salamis beat Ermis Aradippou 2-0 first goal was was an own goal second scored by Eloundou. whilst Doxa beat Alki 4-3 Doxa’s goals came from Ioannou, Eninful, Carlos and Sadik. Alkis goals came from Hamdi, Malfleury and Simoes.
Bottom of the table Olympiakos beat Pafos 3-0 with their goals coming from Politzi, Trimbo and Castro.
