Happy Easter!
Each year at this time we dwell on the extremes, from the depths of despair to the joy of new life. I was with neighbours and friends at St Katherine’s Greek Orthodox Church on Friday, as we lamented the death of Christ, processing along Friern Barnet Lane.
But by Sunday, services – and all of life – spring up with hope. It’s this that stays with us. Hope that a corner can be turned, and the world can be set right.
That hope is why some of us are foolish enough to go into politics to try and change things for the better, and as the MP for Chipping Barnet I will keep working for brighter days for us all.
