AN 88-YEAR-OLD woman was mugged in Nicosia on Thursday night and was robbed of €4,500 in takings from a kiosk she ran in Pallouriotissa with a woman partner.
Police said the victim was getting out of her partner’s car with the night’s takings when a man pushed her from behind. She fell to the ground and he made off with the money.
The 88-year-old is being treated at Nicosia General Hospital for a fractured pelvis.
Neither of the women saw the assailant nor do they suspect anyone.
