Eroglu meets Turkish and Greek Cypriot academicians

Turkish Cypriot daily Yeni Duzen newspaper (02.11.12) reports that the Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu met yesterday with the Cyprus Academic Dialogue Platform, which is comprised of Turkish and Greek Cypriot academicians. During the meeting, Eroglu alleged that he attended the negotiations with the intention of reaching an agreement and he showed his determination with the proposals he submitted. He claimed that he exhibited this determination in the letter he had sent to the UN Secretary-General right after his “election”.

Eroglu said that they have discussed all chapters except the guarantees and argued that the Turkish side had submitted to the UN Secretary-General the proposal of holding summits for the Cyprus problem in order to explain better its, so-called, will for reaching an agreement. He said that they had held five such summits.
