Federation launches Register of Property owned by UK Cypriots in occupied Cyprus

The National Federation of Cypriots in the UK has launched the Register of Property owned by UK Cypriots in Occupied Cyprus. The Register is part of an information campaign to raise awareness in the UK, including with the Government, about the large number of UK Cypriots whose property has been illegally taken from them in the occupied area of Cyprus.
“These were not just homes that were taken, they were what connected us to our families, friends and communities” – The Association of Rizokarpasso in Britain
The scale of loss during Turkey’s illegal invasion and occupation of Cyprus is unimaginable. Turkey continues to illegally occupy 36% of Cyprus’ land and 56% of its coast, forcibly displacing over 200,000 Cypriots. In UK terms, this would be the equivalent to an occupation of Scotland and a displacement of the entire population of Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and London combined.
“Too many of Cypriots have passed away before ever being able to return home – we cannot let this tragedy continue” – The Eptakomi Association (UK)
Registering your property will allow us to demonstrate to the UK Government and Parliamentarians exactly how many British citizens had their properties taken from them during the invasion and to urge action.
If you are a UK Cypriot who rightfully owns property in the occupied area of Cyprus that has been taken from you, please complete the registration below – it takes less than 30 seconds.
