Four issues on Tuesday’s meeting of Cyprus negotiators

Τhe property issue, the federal list of competencies, the federal executive and external relations will be discussed at tomorrow`s meeting of the negotiators of the Greek Cypriot and the Turkish Cypriot sides, Andreas Mavroyiannis and Kudret Ozersay, according to CNA sources.

Mavroyiannis and Ozersay met last Tuesday, when the Turkish Cypriot side submitted a document on the competencies of the Central Government. Both sides submitted a paper on external relations. They also discussed the property issue.

Cyprus was divided in 1974 when Turkey invaded and occupied its northern third. The leaders of the two communities agreed in February on a joint declaration which paved the way for the UN-backed talks to resume with the aim to reunite the island under a federal roof
