EU Commissioner Štefan Füle expressed his appreciation and willingness to find ways to support joint efforts by Cyprus` Chambers of Commerce towards establishing a positive environment for a comprehensive solution of the Cyprus issue.
A relevant announcement says that the EU Commissioner for Enlargement met in Brussels with the presidents of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, Phidias Pilides and Fikri Toros respectively, in the presence of a representative from Eurochambres.
The Commissioner, inspired by concrete ideas and initiatives mentioned, encouraged the chambers to continue their valuable cooperation and expressed his hope that the chambers` interaction will also result in increased business opportunities across the Green Line, the announcement concludes.
