Grange Park residents joined Councillor Chris Joannides on litter pick collection

Grange Park residents joined Councillor Chris Joannides on 31st August for the resumption of a litter pick session in Cheyne Walk Open Space.

The session was organised by local resident Julian Dixon and Enfield Council supplied the litter picks, green waste bags and disposable gloves. Six bags of rubbish was collected including cans, plastic bottles, broken glass and used baby nappies.

Southgate ward Councillor Chris Joannides commented on the need for more residents to participate in community litter picks across Enfield. He added, “litter picking is a small activity that can have a major impact on the environment, as well as an individual’s health and well-being. My sincere thanks goes to everybody who has taken part in the litter pick activity in Cheyne Walk Open Space”.
