After attending the Hairdressing Exhibition which displayed lots of new and exciting tools and products within the Hair and Beauty industry, it reminded me of some of the fabulous brands we have that work effectively to restore and bring hair back to its glory after the Summer months, when hair gets hit hardest with all the stripping out from sun, heat, pool and heated tool appliances.
When in the heat or on vacation, most people will wash hair more frequently in order to wash out chlorine, sea salt or where they may have just been perspiring. All the over washing, drying and heat will mean that the hair will need extra nourishing of moisture infusing, good quality products that will bring hair back to a glossy, healthy sheen.
Over the years in teaching hair and beauty, I have tried so many products both professional and off the shelf. Some have proved always worth going back to, while others have just been a pure waste of packaging. Shampoo and conditioner, are not just shampoo and conditioner to those that have unruly or problematic hair and scalp disorders. This is when selecting the correct product to suit your hair type and problem is of most importance. We don’t really want to be using a dozen products at any one time; that is just going to weigh the hair down and make it look dull. A few wisely chosen products used regularly will work appropriately.

Another fantastic brand to try is Sexy Hair – I love its miracle product ‘Seal The Deal’, a split end mender lotion. It can be applied on damp or dry hair before any other styling product. It is ideal for when you definitely don’t want any more hair cut off and need a fix. This product was so popular at one point that there was a shortage everywhere on it and was virtually impossible to get hold of. Unite do 7 Second detangler and leave in conditioner is ideal for those who use heat tools, need a quick reviver between washes, for swimmers or when hair gets dry and unruly. The Unite products are widely used by celebrities and recently seen at New York Fashion week.
