Labour for a Better Barnet
Barnet Vale Residents Back a Labour Government and a Labour Council
Barnet Vale residents have given Labour two thumbs up, after electing a new Labour MP and a new Labour councillor.

The ward held an election for a new councillor on the same day as the General Election. As well as a new MP, Labour’s Dan Tomlinson, Barnet Vale has a new councillor, Sue Baker. Dan will be joined in the House of Commons by Labour’s Sarah Sackman, representing Finchley and Golders Green, and Labour’s David Pinto-Duschinsky, representing Hendon.

Sue said: “I want to thank everyone who backed me at the ballot box and supported my campaign. Whether you voted for me or not, I will be here to represent all Barnet Vale residents and continue to bring the change to Barnet Vale only Labour can – responsible governing; cleaner, safer streets; and a commitment to tackling climate change.”

Barnet Labour Council Leader, Barry Rawlings said: “I am proud that we represent wards throughout the borough, from Colindale to Barnet Vale, Childs Hill to Underhill. That’s because we care about all of our borough.

“I want to thank the residents of Barnet Vale for their support. Their backing inspires us to keep on changing Barnet for the better.”

Barnet Vale resident Sue Sullivan said: “Sue Baker is a pillar of the Barnet community. I know she will serve us well. We’ve seen real change since Labour came to the Town Hall, from CCTV being fixed to the return to the community skips. With Sue at the council, it’s great they can continue their work.”
