A 37-year-old man from Livadia has been jailed for 14 years by Larnaca court for the rape of a nine-year-old boy in the town.
Andreas Nola admitted the rape of the Palestinian boy on August 1, 2012.
He enticed the boy by promising to show him a dog but then raped him on the roof of a building about 500m from the Phinikoudes strip where he abducted him.
The Assize Court expressed outrage and concern about the way the accused acted towards the child.
In sentencing, the Court took into account the personal circumstances of the accused and his mental health problems.
Nola had previously been jailed for 15 and 5 years for the murder and attempted rape of young Chinese woman student in 1994.
